What we keep
- Your book: the entries and goals you type in, with a scrambled form (SHA-256) of the book's private key. No name, email or account is asked for.
- For daily limits: a salted, scrambled form of your internet address and a counter, deleted after two days.
- The web server's normal access logs (address, time, page). The private key travels in a cookie and after the # of the link, so it does not appear in page addresses in those logs.
What we do not do
No advertising, no tracking or analytics scripts, no selling or sharing of data, no emails. The Hours Planner stores nothing.
Cookies
One cookie holds your book's key so this browser can open it, and one protects forms against forgery. Leaving the book on this browser removes the first.
Deleting
Delete single entries at any time, or the whole book from the book page. Deleted data leaves the nightly database backups within 14 days. Copies taken when the site is updated are kept longer; they stay private with WeldonPC and are used only to restore the site.
Young volunteers
Many users are students. The site asks for no personal details; please do not type other people's phone numbers or addresses into notes.
