Set the goal your school, troop or club gave you. The book shows hours left and how many a week will get you there by the due date.

Get it signed as you go
Print one sheet per organisation with a signature line for every visit. Waiting until May to find a supervisor from September is how hours get lost.

The verification sheet
A page your supervisor can sign on the spot.
Pick an organisation and the book lays out every visit with a signature line, the total, and your own statement that the hours are true. Print it, bring it, get it signed.
Service Cuyahoga does not verify hours, and some schools want their own form or a letter on the organisation's letterhead (Shaker Heights asks for that). The sheet is your record and a ready summary for whatever they ask for.
“Students will meet the requirement of the Community Service Seal by completing a community service project that meets the guidelines set by the school district board of education or school governing authority.”
So the number of hours is your district's call. Two Cuyahoga County examples: Cleveland Metropolitan schools list 40 hours, Shaker Heights lists 40 hours with an organisation's letter.
